When is running after someone screaming you’re a f***ing cheat passion. I’ve never seen a cricket/rugby player do that (certainly not for years), do they not have passion? There’s emotion, but there’s a line and you can’t just say, well it’s sport, do what you want; it’s passion. Take off the FFC specs, that reaction was beyond the line and should have been punished. Grass roots football has huge issues with refs & abuse (physical at times) and that feeds down from the elite level. -- SW6.doc

There was Mike Gatting and his run in with Umpire Shakoor Rana. It was poor from Wilson, and he needs to wind his neck in in these situations, but if I do have one criticism of Silva, it is his own difficulty of managing his emotion, and I think this sets a poor example to the players.   - Completely agree. And its a proven method of team leadership. There are others, but this is his. All this "but what about the grassroots!?" pearl clutching reminds of the silliness we've seen over rock and rap music and video games.
