People have such a strange take on football club structure, managers are an employee who look after the first team, they aren’t some god like whatever they say goes. Look how Pompey turned out when directors didn’t say no and opened up the cheque book without thought for long term consequence. Maybe silva doesn’t want a long term contract and like pep at city the club and him are happy with short term deals.
