  • I have a feeling we will end up with Andersen and Cuenca at the back. The latter is a ball-playing, left footed CB and those are rare as hens teeth. He was a started for Villareal - You do not give that up to warm a bench.   • Where I think we'll see him is as a substitute in games where we switch to a back three. So I think he ends up supplanting Diop on the bench (again, poor Diop!). But he wasn't a guaranteed starter at Villareal. Made 21 starts last year, 10 the year before. He'll play for sure, but I don't think he came to us under any understanding that he'd be a guaranteed starter.   • Only reservation with that pair is the balance, Anderson is pretty slow and needs some pace next to him, not sure if Cuenca has that. He looks a good footballer, like Anderson or even ream, but as a pair I wonder if Anderson/ceunca have the athleticism that Bassey has, despite his shakey start this season, Bassey was v.good last season, he deserves a decent run before a change is made.
