Subject: The Chelsea game was very crowded, as was Leicester as stated. Also remember playing Spurs in the 70s , in the league, and the ground being so packed we could only get into the Putney End...I've always stood/sat in the Enclosure btw.

  • In the 74/75 season we played Man U officially in front of c £26k - although felt it was much more than that - shortly after we played West Ham in a league cup game in front of 29.6 k. The last 30k plus crowd I remember was another league cup game v QPR c 1970. My memory may be playing tricks with me - but I seem to recall that number was squeezed onto 3 sides of the ground since the original Riverside was being built - can anyone confirm?   • QPR game was October 6th 1970…. Just over 32,000 ….the riverside terrace was still in place that night …..ground was packed (NT) -- Ffc, Monday, September 16, 12:48:43pm (host86-170-119-59.range86-170.btcentralplus.com/86.170.119.59)
