In the 74/75 season we played Man U officially in front of c £26k - although felt it was much more than that - shortly after we played West Ham in a league cup game in front of 29.6 k. The last 30k plus crowd I remember was another league cup game v QPR c 1970. My memory may be playing tricks with me - but I seem to recall that number was squeezed onto 3 sides of the ground since the original Riverside was being built

QPR game was October 6th 1970…. Just over 32,000 ….the riverside terrace was still in place that night …..ground was packed (NT) -- Ffc, Monday, September 16, 12:48:43pm (host86-170-119-59.range86-170.btcentralplus.com/86.170.119.59)
