• I think age has caught up with cairney and he can no longer go box to box, and reed and bette are dms who aren’t going to drive us forwards much. They are ok to interchange one at a time with the first team, but all 3 together takes a lot out of what we are used to in style of play.   • I think that's a narrow interpretation of what Reed and Berge are. They are both capable of playing the disciplined defensive shield role, but also the box-to-box one. Think back two seasons ago and the Tete, Reed, BDR/Wilson right-side triangle with the forward cutting in and Reed driving down the right, interchanging with Tete. Was a major feature of our play.     • I’d say it a very apt description. Especially for reed. He is a dm who has been asked to play as 8, and in the vast majority of games, he looks like a dm who has been asked to play as an 8.       • Id agree with that whenever reed gets further forward he looks nervous, in the short amount I've watched berge though he looks more comfortable in a forward position. Cairney will do well to have those two behind him as a 10 suits him more, he just wont press as much as AP off the ball.
