Sidling to the outskirts of the gathering, adjusting the robe tighter about his shoulders as he did so to make absolutely sure that he was at the very least decent, he caught Max's gaze with his own, equally emerald. If she was asking him of Bri's condition, he had no answer to give. He did, however, have an answer to her introduction, which he voiced softly, almost shyly though he was no such thing. "Max, no, I don't believe we have met. Deangelo." Not bad, for one whose grand entrances and introductions generally included much more sarcasm, much more twisted humor. But his temper had quieted significantly once the misery of the ocean chill faded. Now, so long as she did not insist he partake of her cocoa, the rest of the evening might pass pleasantly enough.
