Ravin bit back a yelp of pain when Argus took a hold of his injured hand. He closed his eyes and willed himself not to pass out from blood loss while the cleric cast a spell over the severe injury. Within minutes, the pain subsided and the thief was able to breath a little easier. He still had no feeling in his fingers but Argus assured him that he'd have full use of the hand once the swelling went down.

After thanking the cleric he sat down near the door, grateful that the battle was over. He rested his back against the wall and closed his eyes. Hopefully, a brief nap would alleviate some of the fatigue he felt.

"Ravin! Are you all right?"

His eyes snapped open. A hint of a smile crossed his lips when he found Isobel kneeling beside him, her face lined with worry. "I'm fine now, thanks to Argus," he said, reaching out with his good hand to touch her cheek when she mentioned being dazed from her fall down the stairs. His eyes followed her lips to his injured hand then he pulled her into a tight embrace. "Stay with me while I rest for a moment," he whispered.

When she laid her head down on his shoulder he ran his hand through her hair then slipped into unconsciousness.

Tia's arm was bleeding from several gashes by the time Erlic came to help her fend off the panther. She was pretty damn happy to have his assistance since she didn't know how much longer she could swing the heavy sword. The petite thief was never very good at close combat, preferring to attack from a distance with missile weapons.

Once Erlic killed the creature, Tia gave him a smile of thanks then sighed contentedly when he suggested they all rest for a while before continuing the search for the branches. Tia sheathed her sword then made her way to Corum, who was staring at the fist sized gem. Upon seeing a tiny man with a white beard down to his ankles inside the stone, she remembered what Ardesmar said about the Heart of Al' Rakim. "That's supposed to be a gem nymph," she told Corum. "And he can answer one question a day." She rubbed her hands together then grinned at the skull-staff wielder. "What do you think we should ask him?"
