Your theory is sound. there is no doubt in my mind that Brian will bring back the machines in one form or another. I just don't see how he could call Marty and daniel machines...if in fact that is what he intends.

There is another facedancer in Heritics that is left unexplained. Remember Sirafa? The one Lucilla and Burzmali encountered when they met up with Duncan. Now, She could be a machine.....but a machine that would help "enemies" escape? Hmmmmm.

Anyway, I don't have any theories as to what the threat could be...I just don't want them to be Brians machines. Aliens would be cool. I know many people wouldn't like that but I wouldn't mind. If it was done right. Machines would have been better served if the pre's hadn't been done. I mean, we will all be sick of these things by the time Sandworms is done.

I think something like a combination would be cool. Many factions fighting it out including the machines. Perhaps the machines even become an ally with the BG or some other faction to try to defeat the new Human Facedancers. who knows. That would stink of the Matrix though. Just no way around being unoriginal.
