IDAHO, I agree with you that Dune 7 will be more than one book. If BH and KA want to write a 3-book trilogy about 15 years of Paul's early life (yawn), then they can expand Dune 7.

The human-scattering is big! How big? In GEOD, Leto's empire was 3 galaxies? The stadium held about 500,000 Fish Speakers with 3 per planet which equals 160,000 planets times 3 billion equals 480 trillion. Asimov's Foundation Trilogy had 200,000,000? inhabited planets in his Galactic Empire. I thought Asimov used each planet as metaphor for American citizen.

So...Leto re-engineered humanity for reduced conflict but with a stomache/gut level instinct to explode on the galaxy. 480 trillion (4.8 x 10^14) exploding through 1500 years of exponential growth equals how many people? Any mathmaticians out there?

Im still entranced with Teg. I'm rereading HoD amd Teg is definately Jedi-like. He moves in bullet-time, he sees no-ships, and he has a limited prescience that works in the short term (second-sight). Not to mention that he is brave, honorable, mentat, hates violence but uses it when necessary.

I hope Dune 7's characters and its voice will be more inline with FH's writing style. I still say that Chani would have taken Serena Butler's water on sight.

Dune as a RPG or MMORPG? What an interesting idea. Of course with the job and kids, I wouldn't have any time to play such a game the way it was meant to be played.
