She smiles shyly and gently taps her throat. The boy feels a suddenly rippling at the edges of his consciousness, like puddle moving with a gust of wind, and then he finds himself thinking about how sweet and innocent the girl looks - of course she couldn't hurt anybody. Jaitie smiles smugly as the dazed-looking boy lets the gun drop to his side and a goofy smile spreads across his face.
