Date Posted: 17:52:30 07/10/03 Thu In reply to: Xanatos 's message, "Re: ~*~*a ballet in the air...*~*~" on 12:24:21 07/10/03 Thu ~+~*she blinked slowly, before pulling something from her pocket. a small box, small enough to fit into the palm of her hand. it was a black marble, lined in gold, with faded hinges. she stared down at it, then slowly pulled the lid up. there was something glowing within it, but you could not tell what.*~+~ this is why i am here. this is a relic from my old home. somebody may have approached you asking about the Serpents Heart. when the Night Hawk took our land, a great deal of our magical and combat forces were sacraficed to the Serpents Heart, to make it more powerful. they did so willingly, to protect our people. we, the children like myself and Ma'ar, fled just before the Night Hawk reached us. however, 4 of us never made it through the Gate prepared for us by our captors after we returned seeking help. two, because they could not leave their home land, one because he retreated back to the lab, and then me, because the Gate closed before i crossed. so rather, i fled to the castle where people were being sacraficed. i made it there just as the Night Hawk crossed us. the power was magnified within the Serpents Heart, the stone that powered all of the magic to our land, and generally kept us at peace. i was unable to give myself up to it before it ruptured. i was nearest to it, so a wash of power hit me, and it manifested. ~+~*she blew a stream of air over the object in the box, then the glow died away. she lifted it out. it was a small triangular, jaged shard of something- made of clear glass.*~+~ this is a shard from the sphere that was shot into my heart. because i was hit with the backlash from it, i was temporarrily suspended between the three realms where Telia once existed. so, the Night Hawk had passed when i returned to the same basic land, just barron of life. i stayed there gradually. the Night Hawk had tainted the Serpents Heart, so, gradually, i began to look like i do now. i was born with green eyes and blonde hair, if you want to know. and the violet eyes are not from Ma'ar, they are from the stone's power. after i learned how to use the power, i created a Gate Spell and came here. Ma'ar and i remembered each other, so he gave me immunity.... he did not want the Sentinels to kill me, so he gave me the stone, but did not activate it. so i have been living here, but i have noticed that Ma'ar has been getting.... obsessed, with this mission of his. i have power enough to stop him, yes, but like you- i can not. he has something precious to me at ransom as well as something precious to you. how do i know? he has told me. a friend of mine has something that Ma'ar would not mind having- she has a round piece of the Serpents Heart, a complete sphere with no flaws. i took that piece with me when i left, and gave it to her as thanks for helping me so many times. Ma'ar's natural focus stone is tied in with the Serpents Heart..... so he could use it to become more powerful. yet, in exchange for my help, he will not harm her to get it. like with you. if you attack him, his armies will kill your friend there, and kill off the Faerie race. he has no remorce in doing so, if it will help him in his goals.... ~+~*she placed the stone back into the box, and shut the lid before tucking it back into her pocket. she stared at you blankly for a moment, then sighed.*~+~ i saw the dragon land, and came to see.... finding more than one Spirit Star anywhere is very rare, so i was surprised to see Fire Song and Psyke here. then i realized that you were the ones that Ma'ar spoke of. he does think fondly of you, but he can not let you get in his way. i want the old Ma'ar back..... so i am willing to help you. i am a decent fighter, and have attained a great deal of power since the incident with the Serpents Heart. thus i can be of use to you, which is why i am telling you this. ~+~*she tilted her head to the side, and thought for a moment.*~+~ ....do you know of the Great Goddess? i do not remember her name, but because i survived the incident, she is in debt to me. i can call her if need be, if Ma'ar gets too far in his power....
