I hope everyone who is a mom or is lucky enough to still have a mom had a great celebration yesterday. (The only moms in this condo are spiders and cacti.)

Cacti love Florida. They just slurp the water right out of the air and never need to be watered, although I do give them a drink once a week or so. It isn't that cacti hate water it's just that they have adapted to live without it for long periods and use what they get efficiently.

We have our Mothering Sunday much earlier in the year in the UK. I'd like to say that we should move it to later to take advantage of better weather but as I'm sitting here looking at the rain (and this in country which now has a hosepipe ban because of drought!), I'm afraid it really wouldn't wash (terrible pun).
