If IA's plot works, then it's held together with bubble gum and bobby pins. LOL *g* ;-D Not to mention the good will of its readers. :-D
Amazingly, I'm at least *thinking* about prose, at this point (which is stunning, because I thought I'd be dead-set against it for a looooong time to come, after finally finishing IA.) It's a bit like undergoing aversion therapy, though. LOL It's a little bit *less* painful, every time I think about the notion of *someday* trying an LFN fanfic (or a RL short story), again. ;-D I have no idea, right now, what I'd try next. I'm thinking about things and keeping my mind *and* eyes open, though. :-D There's an infinite number of possibilities, just with LFN. I'd have to wait for something that really 'grabbed' me and that I thought I could sustain passion and interest for throughout the long, difficult writing process. I know by now that any piece I live with long enough eventually slips from a love/like into a love/hate relationship. ;-D At least, I know it *is* possible, now, for me to finish a fanfic--even if it takes me a long, *long* time. LOL *g*
In my poetry, I've always tried to put myself, my perspective/POV, directly within the setting, scene, theme, emotions, and imagery that I'm writing about... I really like to 'immerse' myself during the writing process. So, I suppose that's my tact with prose, as well. I like to write things up close, engaging the emotions, and putting the reader right *there* instead of holding them at a distance. It can be exhausting, though, as it was when I tackled the Season 3 arc of LFN--that was a very difficult space to put myself into and to write from... and it's a credit to RD's brilliant portrayal of Michael that I could feel that way about a character.
Hugs to you {{{{{Kitkat}}}}} and your sweet, talented Muses {{{{{{Beth and company}}}}}}}} :-D,
Sanlin, Zute, and her many Muses
PS: Beth, you write excellent comments, sweetheart. Have fun working with Kitkat, there. :-D {{{{{Beth and company}}}}}
