I think the idea is a good one. I can remember arriving for our first penultimate night and being instructed by Ken on what to do and when, which was useful. We were also made welcome by our neighbours in the Gallery and it really made a difference meaning that individuals in are group were happy to attend a prom on their own as they new the chances were that they would see a friendly face in the queue or inside the RAH.

I remember the year before last two teenagers that came to a few Proms up in the Gallery, but because they didn't look like the typical prommenader some people looked down on them and they were even told to move from bays which they were in because they had arrived early and queued. I didn't see them last year, I hope it was just that they weren't around rather than that they had been put off coming.

In our attempts to become a more friendly bunch can we also try and span the gap (not literally) between the Arena and Gallery prommenaders?
