I do hope for all our sakes that your rantings on this subject have now stopped. Whatever any differences are between musical organisations in different parts of the UK and further afield, the main point I feel you have missed is that what is good (and what is not) in music is so subjective. What one person likes in style, another may not.

Lets all continue to soak up the RAH atmosphere at this year's (and future year's) Proms, knowing that we all love our music, that we all have our likes and dislikes, favourite orchestra's and choirs, and come together in the spirit that "Timber" intended - to enjoy live music together. Surely thats at least one thing its all about?
