Levien has uncomfortable bleacher seats, a sound system where the announcements seemed on par with those you might ‘hear’ on a crowded 1 train and only holds 2700 or so. There were good things: it was an intense experience for the teams and the crowd and it was on Columbia’s beautiful campus (so much nicer than during my law school days there) but I think the Ivy League should be more ambitious. Getting away from the rotation around the league would avoid the issue of home court advantage skewing the results thst arguably contributed to a Yale win in 2019 and a Princeton one in 2023. And the game should be held in a City with easy access and a central location. Maybe the Prudential Center would work well enough but New York is . . . New York. We should aim high.
