I think this is the same program as Princeton's (and maybe other ivies). https://opendorse.com/princeton-tigers

If I recall correctly, when PU announced its arrangement, it was generally derided as an unserious effort.

It's not going to stop big schools like Michigan from stealing future Danny Wolfs.

If you think opendorse would have kept Wolf at Yale, you have no clue about how NIL and the transfer portal work in 2025.

Most Ivy alumni, especially those who graduated before 2000, are completely in the dark about how college recruiting and team building (even at the Ivy level) is done.

All Opendorse does at Yale or Princeton or elsewhere is provide a convenient conduit for alumni or boosters who want to fund an NIL to do it without much personal effort.

To keep Danny at Yale or Malik at Harvard, you don't need a conduit so much as you need somebody spending big dollars.

A guy willing to spend big dollars doesn't need a conduit. Think Tom Stemberg at Harvard. When Stemberg wanted to shovel millions into the Crimson men's basketball program, there was no pre-existing conduit or framework. When the check has at least two commas, the school will create a conduit for you. Then they paint your name on the court.
