To keep Danny at Yale or Malik at Harvard, you don't need a conduit so much as you need somebody spending big dollars. A guy willing to spend big dollars doesn't need a conduit. Think Tom Stemberg at Harvard. When Stemberg wanted to shovel millions into the Crimson men's basketball program, there was no pre-existing conduit or framework.
