Frankly, Columbia Baseball is much more fun than Major League Baseball. The opposite field grand slam walk off ninth inning home run by Miller was just ridiculous. I'm curious to see how Miller acts as he rounds the bases for his heroic game winner. Is he an arm-waving maniac? Or does he coolly jog around the bags, "I had it all the way, baby. No big deal." I happened to meet his parents at the Columbia-Harvard series this past weekend. They're very nice. They introduced me to Jack Kail's mom and explained that Sam and Jack are not only Columbia baseball teammates (and a double-play combination). They were also high school teammates in the Pittsburgh area. Pretty neat. That doesn't happen all that often, right?
