Interesting twist: Syer recruited the DC HC as a player, at QU. Spoke very well of Cashman in a postgame interview saying he learned more from him than the other way around. P MIH rarely gets this far. Happy for Syer who made these finals in his second year. Labored in the vineyards for 25 years as an ECAC assistant coach first at QU and then at Cornell. HC jobs in any sport are hard to come by and ours is a program that, that with a few exceptions, has usually struggled. My hope is he follows in the footsteps of Cahoon and Gadowski. DC is a good team that has had trouble with us this year but I think all that goes out the window now. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]

QU as regular season league champs— I’d be surprised if they are denied a bid even though they did not last as long in this tourney as Cornell did. Has the ECAC had 3 of the 16 slots before? To further answer your initial question: this is apparently the first ECAC final for DC. That surprised me, this was our fifth and we have rarely been a top team. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]
