Harvard should have imagined Villanova wearing green and white uniforms with a "D" on the middle of their helmets. They would have played like Ohio State if they had done that.

Instead they played like total crap...

You beat Ed O'Neils alma mater where he played football ! Well done - let the Whiffenpoofs sing out the victory!

Seriously a good win and puts the lie to Ivy inferiority in football !

harvard just peaked too soon. so they lost two road games at season's end - congratulate them on the championship season it was.

Entering the season I was concerned about Harvards D-Line and Linebackers, most of who had graduated. We heard the defensive backfield was strong, but otherwise I was concerned. Harvard jumped out to early leads against Stetson, Brown, Holy Cross, Cornell and Columbia, but were tight against Merrimack, Princeton and Dartmouth for a while. Eventually, Penn, Yale and now Villanova showed that it was possible to run against the Crimson. Without early breaks, those teams held onto the ball with runs and short passess and kept Harvard's offense off the field. Also, Harvard never really established a pass rush. Impressive run to 9-0, but Harvard never had to (9-0) or was able to overcome its weakness (0-3).

Not sure the message sends about a 2 bid Ivy for the future. For a while there - I was thinking we would never see a second bid or a see ever again!
