Tigers about to close the book on Lafayette.

Good for them!

Actually, the tigers were outplayed by Lafayette. We were helped by 3 Lafayette turnovers including a pick 6.

Well, if the Tigers didn't capitalize on those turnovers, what would it have mattered? This is a good win for the Tigers and if they can develop a pass rush and a better run defense, they could be really good.

Say what? Lafayette definitely had its moments, but turnovers don’t count in evaluating teams’ play? The pick 6, btw, was a team in its 5th game throwing short to a receiver running long. Pretty badly blown play for a team at this stage of its season supposedly outplaying its opponent, imo.

Jury is still out on this Princeton team, but this was a good bounce back game, with a lot more work to do.

I think there is a kernel of truth in Jerry's observations. Not that L outplayed Pr but Tigers had a few beneficial plays (threading tight passes) and calls at opportune moments that might not happen versus a team playing well.

Greene is great - hope football does not get in the way of a likely all-Ivy, or better, lacrosse season. As noted, OL and DL will be key going forward.

And what looks like a soft zone "prevent" defense they play, typically at the end of a half, is fairly worthless. I don't know who is calling for them to use it in the first place, or if players are not playing it as coached, but it never works.

After an uninspired performance versus mediocre Georgetown, I expect Columbia will be very energized next weekend.

Several predictions of a loss to Lafayette, and early expressions of concern for need to play better. Only one report of P’s demise unless you are counting yourself twice.

... you missed Jake's rankings last week. :)

But again, good for Princeton. We're going to need everyone to perform well OOC to help seeding for the playoffs!

Touché. And finally an accurate guess from you, 😂. About my forgetting Jake, not your Lafayette game prediction.

Mercer is going to be a big challenge OOC for us. Before that, though, a big game Friday night for us with rejuvenated Columbia.

A win on the road is always good

Colon can throw and Green is a good reciever
Honda shows promise

The D needs to develop, particularly pass rush

Columbia should answer a lot of questions

At this point a work in progress

Was able to finally see the replay this morning after being away for the weekend.

Definitely a work in progress, but many positives: both QBs looked capable and confident, no TOs or sacks given up, converted many tough 3rd downs and the committee of RBs and WRs showed some encouraging flashes. The ILBs were outstanding and the D caused 3 TOs but I agree with the comment on the lack of a pass rush. And special teams were a bright spot, particularly Brady Clark at P.

Biggest pleasant surprise for me was that the offensive flow and play calling was much better than we saw last year. Having an OL that gives the QB time makes a huge difference.

Friday's game will provide a few more data points ...
