Yes, Brown early on this season is painfully inconsistent. Is James Perry another David Archer but with more charm? Will he (like Archer) plateau at five wins? I'll defer to the second half.....of the season.

No arguments here as far as your game analysis is concerned, Grin. A truly disappointing performance, especially to go out and spot the Crimson a two-score lead from the get go.

I'm not convinced that Perry's seat is getting hot just yet. That's not because I think he's performed well - if you look at his first 5 years compared to Estes' last 5 years, Perry has a slightly worse record, so we're a long way away from turning the program around. I don't think you let a guy basically retool his entire staff if you're planning to fire him in the near future. I imagine he'll get a year or two with the new indoor facility, which seems to be helping him with this year's class, based on Brown's recruiting page on 24/7 Sports.

I'd like to think the true level of this team is somewhere between what we saw against Georgetown and what we saw yesterday night. Time will tell.
