Date Posted: 07:13:10 04/17/04 Sat I have a 29 gallon tank glass aqaurium with 2 young black diamond piranahs (sp?) 3 generic plastic plants and 2 rock style decorations, a power filter rated for my tank size, cartridge style, a power head rated for a 20 gallon tank for slow water circulation and movement and large polished rocks at the bottom, florescent light and a 150 watt heater. I keepo the tank , or try to at about 78-82 degrees F. Here are my questions- 1) Is it possible to have live plants instead of plastic? I have been told the fish will eat them to nothingness by some and some say its fine. The folks at PetSmart dont seem to know either way. 2) The fish dont seem to want to eat anythiung but live fish. I have fed them dry floating pellets, frozen blood worms and rosie reds, they only will eat the rosie reds. Is this going to be a problem later down the road? 3)I have had a bout with algea bloom to the point i have had to break it down and redo the entire tank twice, the powerhead seems toh ave taken care of this, but now one of the fish has tail rot, or had i medicated the water and it seemed to fix it. Any help would be apprecited, thanks [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
