Just got a call from GIC too regarding the sale of my timeshare.

Got the Awana Vacation Resort for about S$9200 3 years ago and was told that there is no need for the buyer to pay anything at all. The seller will be required to pay for the legal transaction and commission to GIC will also be paid by the buyer. Think the upcoming Chinese or Indonesian nationals are interested in the timeshare.

For those brudders who have sold their timeshares, are there any other 'hidden' costs?

We just went today for the presentation. They say we can get our own solicitor or pay them to use their solicitor @ S$1720.

They even showed us a file on 1 case that they hv closed. Not sure if this is genuine.

Seem quite a good deal. But we also told them we need time to think and walk off.

Has anyone sucessfully closed any deal with them?
