Subject: Motel information!!

The Holiday Inn is our official state motel. This motel was decided on at our annual Local Director's meeting last August. Director's were given reservation forms in August to give to their queens with their state packets the night they won. Now, to clarify some questions, if you are planning on driving back and forth from your home to the pageant or staying with family or friends in their home, that is perfectly fine. We just ask that if you stay in a motel, you stay at the Holiday Inn, our official headquarters. If you are in the Teen or Miss Division, you will need to meet the limousine at the Holiday Inn and the Miss will need to meet the tour bus at the Holiday Inn for the treefarm tour.

I just received some of the state packets last Sunday, which were very late coming in. It will be around the middle of May before you will receive a complete itinerary. We plan to outline the pageant as close to last year as possible, so you can go on the state website and look at the itinerary for last year to get an idea. Your itinerary will come by email from your Local Director and by email from me for the at large contestants.

If you need to make reservations at the Holiday Inn, your reservations should be as follows: Teeny, Tiny, Little, and Junior will need reservations for Thursday, June 12th-Friday, June 13th, and Saturday, June 14th. Teen and Miss will need reservations for Thursday, June 19th, Friday, June 20th, and Saturday, June 21st.

Rehearsal for Teeny, Tiny, Little, and Junior will be Thursday, June 12th.
Pageant for Teeny and Tiny on the 13th
Pageant for Little and Junior on the 14th

Rehearsal for Teen and Miss on Thursday, June 19th.
Pageant for Teen and Miss on Saturday, June 21st
Interviews for Teen and Miss on Friday, June 20th and Saturday June 21st.
We will have a motorcade, agrirama tour, and reception on Thursday, June 19th for teen and miss. A formal ball on June 20th for teen and miss and a treefarm tour for miss on June 20th. Exact times and places will come on your itinerary.

Hospitality and People's Choice are two different things. People's Choice is voting for your favorite contestant and can be turned in at the pageant. Hospitality is ad sales and those cannot be turned in now. It is past the deadline for Hospitality ads, we had to get the Hospitality ads in the program book. I am very proud of my Miss Effingham Forestry, Britney Odom and Teen Miss Effingham Forestry, Lacey Caldwell. They both attended the Olde Effingham Days Festival where they raised over $200 face painting. They also got to meet State Representative,Jon Burns! Way to go Girls!

Subject: Calling on our Forestry Family in a time of need.......

The house that they were renting burned down last night as a result of an accidental electrical fire. The owners did not have insurance on the home, only the property. Therefor, nothing that they owned will be replaced by insurance. They lost EVERYTHING!!!! Anna has three siblings, a mother, and step-father who also lost EVERYTHING. Any donations (monetary or whatever) are greatly needed and will be appreciated by this family. The American Redcross is putting them up in a hotel until they can find another place to live. I know that our Forestry Family can pull together and help them in their desperate time of need! They will need the following.... ALL FURNITURE ALL BATHROOM ITEMS ALL KITCHEN WEAR (EXCLUDING STOVE AND FRIDGE) ALL BED LINENS ALL TOWELS LADIES SHOES SIZES 7 AND 9 BOYS SHOES SIZE 5 GIRLS SHOES SIZES 2 AND 3 MENS SHOES SIZE 10 JUNIORS PANTS SIZE 12 GIRLS PANTS SIZE 8 BOYS PANTS SIZE 10 MENS PANTS SIZE 34X32 WOMENS SHIRTS SIZE LARGE GIRLS SHIRTS SIZE 7-8 AND 10-12 BOYS SHIRTS SIZE 8-10 MENS SHIRTS SIZE LARGE AND ANYTHING ELSE YOU MIGHT NEED IF YOU WERE FORCED TO START OVER. We are still accepting applications for the Tift County Forestry and Pine Seedling Pageant to be held this Saturday, April 5th. Girls, if you haven't won a local pageant, this is your last chance to go to state. We will accept applications until Wednesday. If you would like to enter call me at 229-386-2681 or 229-238-2851 or email tiftforestry@yahoo.com

We look forward to having everyone join us!

Age divisions will be
Baby Miss ages birth to 23 months
Teeny Miss ages 2 to 3 years
Tiny Miss ages 4 to 6 years
Little Miss ages 7 to 9 years
Junior Miss ages 10 to 12 years
Teen Miss ages 13 to 16 years
Miss ages 17 to 24 years
Queens will receive full round crowns with emrald and clear stones with matching scepter and crowning pin, custom sash, savings bonds and trophies. The Miss will receive a scholarship.

The pageant is open to all counties except Miss and contestants must be from a county that touches Tift County.

I have 3 dresses for sale: Punch Colored halter it has been stoned beautifully by Jennifer it is a size 8 and the other is Mango colored 2pc with choker and has also been stoned by Jennifer the dress size is a 10. Lastly a Beautiful pink ballgown size two but has been taking up, tto fit a girls size 12-14.

As most of you know, I had to postpone the Tift County Forestry Pageant due to my sister passing away. The pageant has been rescheduled for April 5th. The queens will serve as Host City Queens to the 69th Annual Miss Georgia Forestry State Pageant
We will have the following age divisions:
Baby Miss ages birth to 23 months
Teeny Miss ages 2 to 3 years
Tiny Miss ages 4 to 6 years
Little Miss ages 7 to 9 years
Junior Miss ages 10 to 12 years
Teen Miss ages 13 to 16 years
Miss ages 17 to 24 years
This will be the last Local Forestry Pageant for this year. If you would like to enter and go to state, call me at 229-238-2851 during the day or at 229-386-2681 during the evening or email me at tiftforestry@yahoo.com Applications can be picked up at Annie's Place on North Central in Tifton.
