I couldn't believe how bad Bebe's book was either, and plus I know the truth about some of the incidents where Bebe completely re-writes events to suit herself, but I am still amazed at how much "Rebel Heart" struck a universal sour note with critics. Usually books this bad are just ignored, but there's something about this one that seems to make journalists need to POINT OUT how bad it is. Go figure.

Ran across this one from the BOSTON HERALD naming Bebe Buell's book in the top three " Books We Could Have Done Without"

Books We Could Have Done Without

1. ``The Truth Is'' by Melissa Etheridge, who tells more than anyone wanted to know about the end of her relationship with Julie Cypher.

2. ``Rebel Heart,'' by Bebe Buell, who reveals she wasn't just bedding rock stars, she was inspiring them.

3. Tie: ``Goddess: Inside Madonna'' by Barbara Viktor and ``Madonna'' by Andrew Morton. Madonna had sex with men! Madonna had sex with women! Madonna made hit records! Who knew?
