Yeah “additional responsibilities” rubs me the wrong way. If they actually did extra (or I guess, any) work in the community, instead of just showing up at things to campaign for themselves then fine. This is stupid.

George Garrison went up to go to bat for his crew and why they should get increases, comparing their salaries to other municipalities and how they keep losing good workers. Now that is a problem.

I don’t think any of us would mind losing our mayor or any council member because they could get more elsewhere.
