Hopefully people take note, look who is in favor of taking more money for a party time gig. One of the poorer communities, with less tax rateable interests, and already has the highest paid City Manager in the state. C'mon Newburgh, we have to do better. Departments already have razor thin budgets, operating at manpower deficits. Textbook corporate greed, in a low income city. How about creating more revenue to relieve the tax burden off the citizens? What manufacturing, or job creating businesses has Newburgh ( city ) been instrumental in creating? Everything is grant this, social program that. Nothing concrete by way of revenue generating entities to benefit the taxpayers. Disgusting to think that beadie eyed Mayor wanting a salary increase. How much money has been spent by city government on lawsuits? How much money has been spent on legal fees to firms because our corporation counsel can't litigate? And now you put your hands deeper into the citizen's pockets.
