I was wondering when anyone would bring this up. Actually, after many awkward moments, Councilman McLynore apparently made the motion, though he seemed reluctant to do so. Then Councilman Shakur, who came late to the meeting, apparently seconded it. In the meantime, Councilwoman Sophocles, who was apparently in the downstairs meeting room waiting for the Executive Session was brought up to the Council chambers. At that point they adjourned the Council meeting to go into Executive Session. However, Councilwomen Martinez and Monteverde, and Councilman Sklarz remained in the chambers and did not attend the Executive Session. Too bad we don’t have a real press, who would be all over this story.
