Jack is walking down the corridor as he spots Casey, alone
JACK
Hey – how did I do on my homework last night?
CASEY
You spilt coffee on it and have to start again tonight

(rolls eyes)
You done okay – but I mean it, you’re meeting me tonight and you’re finishing this off good. I’ll make you do this if it’s the death of me!
JACK

Casey moves into the class room as Jack continues walking over to Darren
JACK

DARREN
Hey man what’s up?
JACK
Not much, remind me I have to go back to the slave mills at seven
DARREN

Ryan opens the door to see a very slutty Dawn stood there

Ryan heads upstairs and Dawn rushes in grabs his glass of the side and runs as fast as she can in her heels. Ryan returns to see that she’s no longer there – the door’s left open

EXT – COLLEGE – AFTERNOON
Casey comes out of the college and bumps straight into Ryan

Casey rolls her eyes and laughs

She continues on towards her car, staring back at Ryan who is now talking with the creepy janitor who has one eye on Casey
JANITOR

The Janitor tabs Ryan’s arm – his hand glowing as he does.
RYAN

Jamie walks out of the building and sees Ryan talking to everyone that walks past

Demon or not I am not putting up with this
She storms over to him and pushes him into the wall
JAMIE

Casey is sat with her Grandmother, staring at the clock impatiently

INT – JAMIES HOUSE – NIGHT
Jamie, Jack, Darren, Dawn and Ryan are all sat around the living room
DAWN
So you…you just discovered it one day?
RYAN
Actually my ex-girlfriend Thalia discovered it for me, it’s a long story that we’ll not get into

RYAN
No. Something bad happened and…my eyes indicate what’s going through my mind. I’ll print you off a colour guide
JAMIE

Ryan suddenly comes over all pale
JAMIE
God it was a joke don’t toss on me

Ryan falls to the floor pale faced before instantly returning to full colour and sitting up, shaken

INT – COLLEGE – NIGHT
Casey is sat staring at the watch it’s 7.25, she turns after hearing a small bang against the floor
CASEY
Hello?
(beat)
Jack…
A small ball rolls in towards Casey – she stares at it as it flashes – pulling her into a near hypnotic state
The ball stops and rolls back to where it came from, Casey follows
CUT TO.
INT – JAMIES HOUSE – NIGHT
RYAN
I heard…screaming, a girl at your college
DAWN
You get visions
RYAN
Never…but, I can see t here was the janitor was there – earlier he touched me
(beat)

DARREN

RYAN
He touched me – he can’t be human or alive, It’s a thing, I can take on the sight of a dead person it’s like a calling, to help solve their deaths. I’m feeling him but I’m seeing her…he’s going to kill her
JACK
What does she look like?
RYAN
Blonde and…she’s in a wheelchair

Jack looks at the clock and sprints out

Casey is lying on the floor, her chair is crushed as the janitor steps out

Why are you doing this?
JOHN/JANITOR
I’m going to do to you exactly what you did to my son and me!

time to die Gladys
CUT TO.
INT – COLLEGE – NIGHT
Everyone rushes through to the library – looking around frantically
JACK
Casey! Casey!
RYAN
Through the hall
Everyone runs through and sees John talking to a frantic Casey, Darren raises his arms to halt everyone
DARREN

JACK
Don’t pretend you don’t know! It’s you, it’s your face – I loved t hat face for years you can’t deny it Gladys
DAWN

JAMIE

RYAN
Isn’t that the lady Mom does the market with?
JAMIE

Ryan teleports out, the shimmer of light gains John’s attention
JOHN

JAMIE
Oh this is gonna have a sucky ending
John grabs Casey and holds her in his arms before vanishing into thin air
JOHN (O.S/ECHO)
Time to take thing’s down a peg or two
DARREN
He’s taking her to the basement?
DAWN

The roof – he’s going to throw her…
All of them turn at the sound of a closing door – Jack’s already made it half way up the stairs
CUT TO.
EXT – ROOFTOP – NIGHT
CASEY
Please put me down, please I’m not her!
JOHN
Stop these lies!
JACK (O.S)
Put her down
John places Casey down on the floor
JOHN
You just need to be beaten down don’t you?
GLADYS (O.S)
Stop!
John turns to see Gladys and Ryan stood there as the others come rushing through the door
JOHN
Is this some kind of party?
GLADYS
John it’s me, Gladys – please, please don’t hurt my grand daughter
JOHN
Gladys? You can’t be Gladys! You’re old!
GLADYS
It’s been forty years since you died John! Since we last danced here
John walks over to Gladys and looks into her eyes
JOHN

John kisses her and light surrounds everyone
FLASH TO WHITE
‘1962 – AMBERFIELD COMMUNITY HALL’
Gladys and John dance away as he places his hand on her stomach
JOHN
I can’t believe there’s just six month’s until my Son is born
CUT TO.
EXT – GLADY’S HOUSE – DAY
JOHN
You get out here! I know you’re in there Gladys!
Gladys peeks out of the window, a man is stood next to her, burping a crying baby
GEORGE
I told you my brother was insane Gladys! You’re better off with me, me and Glenn.
CUT TO.
INT – GLADYS HOUSE – DAY

GLENN (Casey’s Dad)
You killed my Father? I can’t let you get away with that – I’m going to the authorities
GLADYS
You’ll do no such thing!
Gladys grabs a fire poker and smacks it across the back of Glenn’s head – he falls down bloody
CUT TO.
Gladys and George dumping the body at a road side
GLADYS
It looks like a hit and run
GEORGE
My son…
GLADYS
Get over it you wimp! He was never your son I don’t know who’s son he is!
GEORGE

Gladys pulls a gun from her purse and hands it to George
GLADYS

Gladys walks away, pausing only as she hears a bang and a thud
FLASH TO WHITE
Everyone is stood in shock on the roof after John’s story is told to them, Casey is in Jack’s arms looking lost and empty
GLADYS
No…No Casey don’t listen to him
JOHN
Thank You…I finally know…I can finally see…I can rest now
GLADYS
What…what did you see? Tell me!
John fades away with the wind, Gladys falls to the floor, shaking and in tears as Jack passes Casey to Ryan – they all exit apart from Jack who walks over to Gladys

Please everyone
The rain begins to pour down on her as Jack walks away
END OF PART THREE
INT – CAFÉ – DAY
Ryan is sat with Jamie and Jack at the table. Darren and Dawn come over with trays full of food
JACK

DARREN
Very good
Darren and Jack both stuff as many fries as humanly possible into their mouths
DAWN
So I’m well and truly over the homesickness now – this is turning out to be a lot like there just more well spoken
RYAN
I know what you mean – it’s not so bad here, at least there’s always something to do
DAWN

JACK
Not yet – she’s not taking calls, it can’t be easy
DARREN
I know when my Dad died it was hell but knowing that it was his Mother who killed him – that’s gotta burn like hell

Casey’s Mum is hugging Gladys at the door step as Casey wait’s in the front garden

I can’t believe you’re leaving
GLADYS
There comes a time when you just need a change
CASEYS MUM

GLADYS

Gladys walks down to the taxi, stopping by Casey on the way
GLADYS
I wish you didn’t have to go through that last night
CASEY
Strangely I’m glad it happened
GLADYS

No you don’t, You deserve one hell of a lot worse and If I ever see you again I will kill you myself
Gladys looks shocked
GLADYS
Don’t speak to me that way Casey, I’m your Grandmother!
CASEY
No. You’re just a killer.
TAXI DRIVER
Ma’am we’re going to have to leave
Gladys nods at him and looks back at Casey
GLADYS
Goodbye Casey.
She steps into the cab as Casey turns her back, tears start to roll down Casey’s face
CUT TO.
INT – CAB – NIGHT
TAXI DRIVER
So off to start a new life huh?
GLADYS
Something of the sort yes
TAXT DRIVER
Must’ve been tough on the kid
GLADYS
She’s a survivor
TAXI DRIVER
But still, seeing her Mother leave that way
GLADYS
That’s very flattering but I’m her Grandmother
TAXI DRIVER
Oh, I’m sorry I meant seeing MY Mother leave her like that
Gladys stops and looks up into the mirror, a pair of rotting eyes stare back at her
As we fade to black we hear a skid and a scream
END.
