You must be hurt a LOT worse than I originally thought. Is this still from your ankle injury? As for the headache, a 5 month headache sounds pretty serious too. I like the Beaver Island trip idea. Mostly from how well it fits the FBET MO. You know it must be a good FBET trip idea when my first reaction to the idea is "there's no way, you're crazy, no outdoors club has ever done THAT." That being said, I'd also like to see a 'confidence trip', but not necessarily a boring trip. That's how I came up with the North Channel islands idea. That trip fits everything I have in mind except it's a couple hours farther than I'd like. We should be able to incorporate day hikes, hard core map reading challenges, and possibly explore caves or rappel or do something different so it's not a one dimensional kayak trip.
