Don not forget Pemberton was still holding out some rations till the end in case the order was ever given to break out.
Im surprized if you wanted to be authentic that rats and mules were not on the menu as well? Broiling a rat on your ramrod at an event, now how hard core would that be? Hmmm why do I Pigpens eyes lighting up over this?
