With all due respect to Brett, he would not of made the cut this year or perhaps next year if it was not for the pairings of referees, he has been thrown to the sharks and time will tell to see if he comes up unscathed, lets hope he does as we need more queenslanders in the squad.

Keep an ear out for a young fellow called Chris Butler give him another two years. He is currently refereeing NYC and QLD Cup.

On another note one wonders if Ashley will struggle like his counterpart Russell Smith even with his combined big match and test match experience he stuggled and eventually was forced out.
