I think the media would ignore the 99% of correct calls and headline the 1% wrong or poor calls.

Even then, the answers of the officials would be open to interpretation by the media. Headlines and sensationalism sell papers, praise of referees doesn't.

So, I think that this would just be making cannon fodder out of the officials.
