Subject: Football colour

I find that white footballs are a problem when judging kicks at goal, as they are hard to distinguish from the white goalposts. This is more of an issue at night when the ball blends in with white lights.

I have seen some bright yellow footballs, and think this may be a good colour choice.

Incidentally, have just watched the Matt Giteau drop goal in the Rugby where the TMO was called on to adjudicate, and the white ball v white posts made it hard to say at first if the ball had passed in front of or behind the crossbar.
