Well I couldn't disagree more.

OK , So he got the Cowboys double movement decision correct without referring it upstairs. That was a good decision.

BUT .... I was appalled at the way he let both teams stand over him. The number of times team captains and even regular players stood in front of him yelling and pointing in dispute of decisions was disgraceful. Jonathan Thurston was the worst offender. And not once did he take any further action. No marching 10 meters, no sin bin , no nothing ! The word "weak" comes to mind.

I get sick to my stomach when I see this sort of thing happen. It sends out a horrible message to players who play district A,B,C D ... grade in the park each weekend that verbalising referees is acceptable.

I think too many NRL refs are too wrapped up in wanting to be mates and pals with the players rather than apply a tough stance on ensuring the role of the official is respected.

Poor form from Tony who in my opinion needs to show a tougher approach towards big headed complaining players who are currently bringing the game seriously into disrepute the way they carry on with referees.
