Sara knew how the rumour mill went- especially since she'd broken up with James and all the lies had been floating aorund about what happened and who said what and her father and all that nonsense, so she was careful not to believe anything she heard before checking it out, which was kind of what she was doing now. A little grin moved over her features as she watched him, taking his plate when he finished and taking it through to the kicthen along with her own, coming back pretty quickly and standing by him, offering him a hand almost hesitantly, unsurely, to lead him through to the lounge where they would be more comfortable. "Well... she was saying how you two had really hit it off at the dance and that you were charming and a gentleman and she thinks you're going to ask her out." She grinned a little, her eyes flickering over his curiously. She'd always felt a little sorry for Ms Montgomery- she was scatty and not very organised or well put together- and a little dull and boring if truth be told. She was the kind of woman Sara imagined would end up alone with a house full of cats.
