  • She smiled a touch in return, her head cocked to the side as she regarded him. It wasn't easy for her too. She'd had a life in Dallas, her aunt had been there to support her, she'd had friends and while she was a single mom there she had a solid support system. Here, except for Marc, she was all alone. She spent all day every day at home with Jessie, other then when they went out somewhere or when she took her to the doctors. She was feeling shut in and she too had noticed that some of the attraction, some of the spark had disappeared in their relationship. "Hey...Jessie went to bed." • She just smiled and nodded in quiet understanding. She really wasn't one to throw a big bitch fit or anything. She tended to just deal with things quietly until she just couldn't handle anymore and then thats when she broke down. She reached back to tie her long blonde hair back in a low pony tail before she looked back at him again. "I am not sure, she just laid down maybe ten minutes ago, so she probably is." She needed to tell him about the latest doctors appointment but in a way she didn't want too. She was becoming more self reliant again, for awhile, she had allowed herself to depend on Marc for both herself and Jessie but with him not being around so much she was begining to remember and fall back into old habits of taking care of everything herself. • She watched him head to the room before she turned back to the counter, biting her lip and staring down at the dishes absently. Something wasn't right and she knew it but she felt like there was nothing she could do about it. Instead she just let out a slow breath and headed to the fridge to pull out some things to make a sandwich for him. Jessie was already asleep, worn out from her day at the doctors and then the park. • She took her time in the shower, she hadn't gotten a chance to relax since she had gotten up at seven with Jessie. About forty minutes later, she emerged in track pants and a tank top, her hair wrapped up turban style in a towel. She was a little unsure of what to do with herself, maybe go running...Jessie was her life and when the little girl was sleeping she was kind of at a loss. • She flipped her head over, drying her hair with the towel before she looked over to him with a slight shrug. "It was...long. I guess some of the blood tests came back questionable so they took some more. I felt bad because she was crying so hard when they were taking the blood but then the doc gave her a little stuffed dog that she's been holding onto since then..." She shrugged again, running her fingers through her long hair. "They are supposed to call in the next couple of days with the results." With that she headed in to put the towel away in the laundry hamper before coming back in to settle with one leg beneath her in the corner of the couch, reaching for the remote. • He let out a sigh and ran a hand down over his face. He felt like the crappiest father in the world right now... he should have been there with her. "I should have been there... With a deep sigh, she stood up, clearing her throat. "I'd like to go for a run or something, would you mind staying home for like an hour or so? I won't be long." She tied back her hair in a ponytail, waiting for his answer a little anxiously. She needed to get out of here herself, taking a few moments for herself would be a godsend. • She hesitated a second before she headed over there and pressed a kiss to his cheek before she headed towards the door. "I should be home in less that an hour, I'll just go around the block." She smiled a touch before she headed out, jogging down the block and around the corner before she paused at the bench and sat down for a moment, running her hands down her face. She was getting so tired of sharing her boyfriend with anyone and everything. His job was obviously important to him and she felt selfish getting upset or nagging him about that but this whole thing with Niki...it made her nervous.

• He glanced at his phone and pursed his lips a little as he read the text, letting out a sigh. He shifted over to the couch and collapsed into it, flicking the tv on and texting her back Yeah somehting like that... what you doing tonight? There was no harm in being friends with a girl... he was friends with Leah, she was an ex, that wasn;t an issue. • Thinking about going out to the bar or club or something. With such an early night, I don't know what to do with myself. She was attracted to Marc, always had been and although she wouldn't complain if something happened between them, she wasn't going to force it or try to seduce him either. She was above that. She smiled, putting the phone in her purse before she headed out to see what she could find to entertain herself that night. // True to her word, a little under an hour later, Ash came in, closing the door quietly behind her. She grabbed another bottle of water out of the fridge, finishing it off easily before she put into the recycle bin thing in the cabinet. • She loved him more then anything in the world and she hated the distance between them but she felt like such a child sometimes and he didn't seem to want her anymore so she was at a loss. She missed how they were before, she really didn't even feel comfortable here in his apartment anymore. Like she was just here because she had carried and delivered his child. • He let out a heavy sigh and shook his head- disagreeing with her, bending his arm back up to support his headas he stared down at the space between them. He wasn't sure either... he just didn;t know if he was compatable witht his sort of life- it didn;t actually seem like a choice that was upto him to make. Usually, she wouldn't care if he went out at night but when she hadn't seen him for days and they were talking about something serious like this, well, that was just uncalled for.
