surely until the men are spiritually developed the women will have to continue spiritual leadership over the men.

Until that time, they'd be a Christian meeting, but in my eyes not a church. It comes down to a very subjective definition of the word "church", and given one understands my definition, they can understand my disposition towards proper church leadership also.

This process will take as long as it takes. Always assuming that the men in question have leadership qualities.

Assuming. Well, I don't make a big fuss over that. In the end, that, once again, is in the Lord's hands, and He is souvreign. If the Lord sees the need and the members also (and pray for that), then He will supply that need.
It's not a matter of organization: in the Church, talent or ability is nowhere near as important as intimate contact with Christ.

In the church, "leadership qualities" have nothing to do with "being able to lead, coordinate or direct other people" (unlike UBF made us believe) but in the church, "taking the lead" means to be the first who prays over an issue, the first offering a helping hand where needed, the first to encourage those who suffer, the first to express concerns when something is going wrong etc. - and whether a person is like that depends primarily on their relationship with God (out from that coming relationships with people).

In Christ,
Mike K.
