This story has so may ambiguities it's untrue. I have read tonight's Argus and am totally confused.

We can't hold the Council or WRU responsible for not supporting our youth set up. It's not a question of finances and it surely can't be a lack of players. I believe that last year's team reached the Welsh Youth Cup semi-final and won promotion to the Premier League? So why exactly are we pulling out? Does it include the Colts set up?

I was assured at the end of last season that we will invest in youth, we must, to sustain a future business. Although the premier clubs cherry pick talent throughout Gwent, they are n't allowed to run youth teams this season. Moreover, after reading tonight's Argus, the next page mentions that Newbridge are bringing back their youth team!

All I would like is some straight answers. What is happening, the truth please? If there is a logical explanation then fine, but the Team Manager's statement makes no sense at all.

Surely, we MUST all agree that developing our own talent is a must, so what do we intend doing about it? We can't send local kids packing to other teams, can we?

(Am aware of the schools initiative)

Why are the parents letting them go and more importantly, what about the players that they don't want? Can't see why the Colts cannot be maintained? Comment?
