>Yesterday I was talking to a member of our squad from last season who said that when they did "one on one" scrummage training Winnie was the strongest in the club. I know there are rumours that he cannot scrummage but at least he is always to the fore around the field and I would not like to lose him especially as we do not appear to have signed any props yet. Owen Price is undoubtedly one for the future but other than him and Gareth Gunter I'm not sure who we wil have as props next season. There are rumours that Leighton will be propping but if Lyndon has retired that leaves us thin on the ground, has Alun Phillips signed for next season? Unless the 2 or 3 signings that we are rumoured to be making are props I do not think that we are so well blessed in that area that we can afford to let Winnie go. It concerns me that prop now seems to be the only position that we do not have strength in depth and to let Winnie go without having some contingency in place could be very costly. Not much point in having potentially an excellent back division if we cann't win the ball.
