As far as you know Webmaster have we now finished recruitment or will we be looking for another hooker. We seem to have strength in depth in every position now except hooker although I haven't seen some of our signings before so it is difficult to know how good they are.
I don't think that two hookers are enough, if Chris is injured not only are we down to one hooker but we've lost Leighton as a prop. I can remember last season what happened when we didn't have quality cover for Byron, lost three matches which I'm sure we would have won had Stuart been available but he wasn't and we suffered. Would hate to think that the same sort of thing could happen again. Also have to bear in mind that Leighton is not the most placid player and if he was sent off we would be in a desperate situation. No point having the best backs in the division if we cann't win a scrum!!!

I have been lead to believe that Gareth Gunter also has experience as a hooker and can through the ball into the line if needed.

I think that we will start the season with the squad we have maybe after a few games we can re assess to see if any more players are needed. We have nearly five weeks to prepare and gel the squad for the first league fixture.

The main problem with us not signing a good QUALITY hooker is the fact that they just do not exist...lets face it there is not a top quality hooker even for the national team. I like everybody else just hopes n prays that Chris Thomas does not suffer a major injury or loss of form. Also lets not get on his back and puncture a hole in his confidence as happened to Slug last season.
