Can anyone out there tell me whats happening to our home grown youngsters? With the signing of players like John Devereux, Johnathan Williams and Kevin Ellis who will obvisouly play every week (barring injury) will they ever get on the pitch? Ben Jefferies in the centre showed his strength, Joel Griffin was good cover for Dai Smith at full back and Gareth Jenkins never let us down when he played srum half. Thinking about it will last seasons favorite Nicky Lloyd sit on the bench all season with Dai Smith and Stuart Lawrence for company????

I think you are forgetting the reliance we had on some of the key players from last year. When we left them out we struggled against the so called weaker clubs. I feel that this year we now have the squad to make sure we win the championship. i.e. we can "rest" some of the key players knowing we have more than able deputies in the players you mentioned who will still get their opportunities to play pretty regular rugby.
The one exception who I feel may end up on the bench unfortunately is Nicky Lloyd. Tho saying that, it's not unrealistic for him and Kevin Ellis to rotate one game on one game off.

Cheers...Glyn
