My fears were proved right sadly. Caerphilly 49 Aberavon 14.
Although I wished Aberavon well I had a sneaky feeling that they would not win any of the play offs. Methinks Aberavon would have been better off refusing to take part in the play offs and pursuing there greviance with the WRU on being denied promotion last season. I bet the top premier clubs will be delighted at this result as they would see it as strengthening their demands with the WRU. We may well see Aberavon fade a bit after this as this result would be a huge moral shattering blow to them as I'm sure they must have been highly confident a week ago of gaining promotion otherwise I dont think they would have agreed to the play offs. What do other supporters think?

Dave,
I had similar fears to you in realtion to the result over 2 legs.
Being realistic I also feel the result would have been similar i.e. Caerphilly staying up, even if it was us playing. Tho to be honest I think we'd have edged our home game by around 5 points then lost by 10-15 down there.

As already discussed several times this is mainly due to the fact that Caer were used to a higher tempo, had less games thrughout the season and had more money to pick better players.

Based on the game against Swansea and the majority of the Ebbw game (once we'd got used to their tempo). I know that we would be better than Caerphilly if we had the same funding as them.

Anyway, guess it's over and done with now and we need to look to the future. Let's make no slip ups, concentrate and play consistently for EVERY game.

Oh shit....isn't the Premier league being reduced next year??..God the WRU piss me off!!!

Well I must say good enough for them. Serves them right. Wiped the stupid smile off Dan Hawkins face anyway. they should not have been there. It should have been us, but as you say, lets look forward.
