In reply to: Dave 's message, "To Webmaster" on 13:41:26 05/28/02 Tue

1) To date only one player is set to leave the club, I am not able to mention his name as the deal is still waiting to go through, I feel we will miss his work rate up front though.

2) I have no idea of our financial situation sorry, I know we will never have enough money to do what we want with the club unless one of our supporters comes up with a million pound or is able to generate large amounts of cash for us (can anyone help???). Just to add to this though, I am aware of some potential signings with good reputations so we can’t be in a bad situation. Our squad will improve for next season.

3) I think the executive boxes were more of a PR thing really however I could be wrong. We need permission from the council to even open a tin of paint so any development will go through them, I wouldn’t get your hopes up just yet.

4) Still being worked on.

5) Good question, around six at present but this is likely to change.

6) I would think not. More than likely we would have one once training commences. However Steve is happy to talk to any one about his team selections of last season if they can provide me with their contact details.

Hope this helps

Rob

[> [> Subject: Cheers Rob - appreciate your honesty. The only criticism I would have of the Club is why announce something in the Press knowing that we are unable to do it.? It's about time Torfaen Council realises the potential of the rugby club instead of wasting £5million on Cwmbran Stadium on a football team that averages less than 150 a game and the occasional athletics event. So it's Mikey Powell going then! I just hope he does n't get splinters in his backside like many other promising players. Welsh rugby eh?

Many people said the same thing about Nick Kelly (Mike is a better player) when he went from X-keys to Pontypridd, but one year on he has won the Welsh Cup and played in a European Cup Final, something he would never had achieved had he stayed at X-keys. This time next year hopefully Mike would have achieved similar.
