>sorry but there is a code of conduct which clubs must adhere too. this does include he premier clubs as well as the real clubs in welsh rugby. i'm sure JD had his wrist slapped fortunately for him he is not a representative of a club and as such is just a spectator and they having paid can call the ref anything they want (as long as it is not lible or slander which ever verbal is ). obviously threatening behaviour towards a ref could never be tolerated either but banter from the touch line is what we all go to games for. however A club official questioning a wru offical's integrity is pushing it too far and the code of conduct must come into play do we want to see our game go down the road of having police escort for refs before and after a match. I know it may sound stupid but without rules in place to protect the ref it may oneday come to this. OK so a ref has a bad game sometimes don't all players gat them the only reason you see it with a ref is that he is on his own. there are far too many people all to eager to slag the ref off during and after a match. howmany would be prepared to ref themselves not many. don't forget without the ref there is no game. it does seem unfortunate that aberavon suffered in this way as scapegoats and as an example to others to test the teeth of the code of conduct however it had to come and they were unlucky
