I've just seen the team announced in the Argus tonight. Looks good. One problem. Why oh why do they play slug. I am sorry, Chris Thomas won every lineout against Bedwas. When slug came on we only won two out of 10. Come on. My argument is that he has had enough chances. We will struggle with a poor lineout display tonight!!! I can't believe this decision.

So much for the struggle. Slug was chosen to play tonight for his power in the scrums. We scored 28 points first half, playing against the wind, in the driving rain and uphill, not a bad night for Slug was it. Its about time that you got off his back. He is picked to play agianst all the teams with a good pack of forwards (Blackwood ect) for his superior strength. Ok maybe Chris has a better lineout throw but it is not all about throwing. Its about getting around the field and having your presence felt. If the crowd supported Slug more whilst on the pitch then maybe he would have a bit more confidence and start playing better.

GET OFF SLUGS BACK he puts his heart and soul into every game he plays for Pooler I know his throwing in can sometimes be inconsistent but he more than makes up for it around the field anyway I think that his throwing gets better the more support he hasif he starts off badly don't slag him off tryand get behind him I thingk you might be supprised it's always harder to perform when you know every mistake will be pouced on

I agree with both here, Slug does always give his heart and around the field he is good. Chris however is much better at throwing in to the line. This is a key, and i mean key job for the hooker. How good around the field was bobby Windsor? Only in tight forward play most of the time.

But the question I want to ask is why cant his father teach him to throw in better? Wasnt he a hooker too?
