I fully agree with this playoff idea. It's completely unfair. All the bottom Welsh club in the top flight has to do is concentrate on winning two games at the end of the season in order to stay in the top flight and get all the money associated with it. Whereas, the team that finishes top at Division One will have had to beat 16 other teams to the top spot in a long hard season. How can this be fair? Good luck to you against Caerphilly if you make it, good luck to us if we somehow manage to pip you to the top! -- Pontypool RFC Message Board

Doesn't the English Zurich Premiership have the same policy i.e. playoff between bottom team and top of the 1st Div????

Anyway I reckon its a good idea, as it ensures the strongest teams in Wales are in the top division. Afterall the last thing we want is to go up and get thumped every week because we are not good enough!
