 What ever happened to the expression "you don't know shit from shinola"? Do any of today's yuppies even know what "shinola" is? Like other phrases of years gone by, this one has disappeared, only to be replaced by "whatever!" and other words and phrases that show only self centered egotism, with no concern (either good or bad) for anyone else.

"Holy mackeral" and "swell" have disappeared. Replaced by non-conversation, a morning $3.00 cup of Starbucks, and one hand constantly grasping a bottle of water that costs more per gallon than gasoline.

Go figure.
